The House Committee on Emergency Management, General Government, and Veterans moved House Bill 3,150 to the floor with a due-pass recommendation and referred it to the House Committee on Revenue by prior reference on Feb. 20, 2025.
LPRO staff summarized HB 3,150 for the committee, stating the measure would create a $1,000 income tax credit for individuals who provide volunteer firefighting services in accordance with stipulated requirements. Fiscal and revenue impact statements were identified as issued; staff said the bill has minimal immediate fiscal impact and that more detailed revenue impacts will be assessed when the measure reaches the Committee on Revenue.
Vice Chair Graber moved the bill, and the roll call recorded votes of "Aye" from Representative Scott Andos (as recorded in the transcript), Representative Wonton Abbey (as recorded), Vice Chair Graber, Vice Chair Lewis and Chair Tran. With those recorded "Aye" votes the motion passed. The committee closed the work session on HB 3,150 and moved to the next agenda item.
