Dr. Williams said the OPM had completed a walk-through with Town Administrator Seelig and district staff; the OPM contract has been executed and was being returned to Mr. Seelig for signature with the district remaining within the MSBA four-week contracting window. The scope for this phase is schematic design and feasibility; staff indicated the bulk of construction would occur in a future summer season.
Separately, the committee considered and approved a proposed replacement digital sign at the Mitchell School site (design modeled on the town-hall display). The sign is funded from district capital/operating project funds identified in the agenda (Opera/ARPA-style funds were discussed). The motion to approve the new sign passed on a voice vote reported as 4–1.
Committee members discussed the school configuration and timing for construction work tied to other building projects; Dr. Williams and building-committee members stressed the schematic phase will refine cost and schedule.
