At its Feb. 19 council meeting, Springdale's Planning Commission report to council said the commission voted 6-0 to table a major modification request from ICM Ventures for a proposed dual-use marijuana dispensary and drive-through at 925 East Kemper Road. The applicant did not provide complete information, and the commission set the matter for continuation and a public hearing at its next meeting.
The commission also approved, 6-0, a PUD minor modification for the addition of fuel pumps at Sam's site at 800 Kemper Commons; the applicant told the commission construction would begin spring to summer 2025. Planning reported that a recently reviewed thoroughfare minor project had only minor changes and will soon be forwarded to council for consideration.
Councilmembers were briefed on those outcomes during the meeting and told residents to watch for Planning Commission public hearings. The dispensary request will return to Planning after the applicant supplies the missing materials, while the Sam's fuel-pump project is expected to proceed promptly.
