The Johnson County Board of County Commissioners approved the consent agenda on Feb. 20, 2025, voting 6-0 to adopt a set of administrative resolutions and interlocal agreements, including an administrative resolution enlarging a privately financed sewer district and 13 stormwater projects with the City of Shawnee plus two Mission Hills stormwater agreements.
The motion to approve the consent agenda was made by Commissioner Doug Hanslick and seconded by Commissioner Shirley Allenbrand. Chairman Mike Kelly called the roll and recorded “aye” votes from Commissioners Fast, Myers, Brewer, Hanslick, Allenbrand and Chairman Kelly. The clerk confirmed the tally: six in favor, none opposed.
The vote included: administrative resolution WD 205-8 enlarging a privately financed sewer district and establishing assessments for the consolidated main sewer district in the vicinity of 1301 S. Alden Circle; 13 stormwater system renewal agreements with the City of Shawnee covering named streets and neighborhoods; and two agreements with the City of Mission Hills for a 2025 Belinda Avenue stormwater upgrade and a 2025 Mission Hills stormwater inspection project. The board chair signed the listed items as part of the consent agenda.
There was no separate public debate on these consent items during the business session. The board moved on to the manager’s report after the roll call.
