Commissioners discussed asking the state to revise the design to preserve side space for nonmotorized users and considered asking for a full bike lane. The board chose to postpone initiating any text-amendment process and delayed further action to a future meeting while staff prepares additional information and draft language.
A motion to postpone the proposed text-amendment process passed by voice vote, and the topic will return to a later meeting for possible formal action or a draft resolution to the state.
