Abby Feeley, development and economic opportunity administrator, reported that the land‑development code assessment and roadmap are posted on the Tampa Forward website and that a public meeting will be held March 3 at the Hannah City Center. Feeley said the assessment’s advisory team met and the consultant (Clarion) updated materials before publication. Council moved Clarion’s briefing to the March 6 meeting immediately after public comment and adjusted the agenda by moving a purchasing‑month commendation to March 27 to create room.
Separately, Councilman Maniscalco asked the council to schedule interviews for the Equal Business Opportunity Advisory Council (EBOAC). Council agreed to set interviews for April 17 and to make application materials available to councilors in advance. Council also passed a motion requesting the City provide, on behalf of council, certain GIS and dispatch data to support a firefighter association’s interest in completing an independent public-safety master‑plan update; staff were asked to produce a written report on the feasibility and timing by April 3.
Council also approved a staff‑driven roadmap for code updates: the full code update will be released in three installments for advisory and public review, and Clarion will return to council with a short presentation on March 6 and broader deliverables in May.
