Summary
At its Feb. 19 meeting the Twinsburg Board of Education approved personnel changes, college-credit partnerships, curriculum adoptions and other routine business as part of consent and new-business motions. The Twinsburg Board of Education on Feb. 19 approved a series of personnel, partnership and curriculum items and held two executive sessions during the meeting.
Personnel and supplemental contracts The board voted 5-0 to accept certified and licensed personnel recommendations, classified personnel and supplemental contracts as detailed in the meeting exhibits. The motion was moved and seconded as part of the consent agenda and recorded as passing 5-0.
College Credit Plus partnerships and curriculum adoptions The board approved College Credit Plus memoranda of understanding for the 2025–26 school year with The University of Akron, Stark State College and Cuyahoga Community College (as listed in the meeting exhibits). The board also approved adoption of No Place for Hate — an Anti-Defamation League program — and a Social Thinking series titled We Thinkers as resources for Wilcox Primary School’s social-emotional learning curriculum. The board recorded approval for these items in a grouped motion (5-0).
Other agreements and purchases The board approved an agreement with Learn Well to provide educational services to one hospitalized student (cost not to exceed $1,500, general fund) and authorized the purchase of a Google for Education upgrade license for Chromebooks in a permanent-improvement expenditure totaling $27,900. Both motions passed 5-0.
Athletic membership and OHSAA renewal The board passed a resolution renewing voluntary membership for Twinsburg High School and RB Chamberlain Middle School in the Ohio High School Athletic Association for the 2025–26 year and adopted OHSAA standards related to student eligibility and athletic administration; the action carried 5-0.
Executive sessions The board entered an executive session at 6:04 p.m. to discuss pending or imminent court action with the board’s legal counsel as permitted by board policy 0166; that motion carried 4-0 with one board member absent. Later, at 8:31 p.m., the board entered another executive session to discuss employment, discipline and compensation of public employees under policy 01668; that motion passed 5-0.
