House Bill 1957 — golf-cart registration and safety requirements Representative: Stairs. The bill would allow certain golf carts that meet safety requirements to be registered and tagged. Sponsor explained that one barrier has been the 17-digit VIN requirement for vehicle registration; "golf carts are not manufactured with 17 digits.
