The nominations mark the first time the city invited a representative of this advisory committee to sit with the city at meetings involving the trade community, the committee chair said during the meeting, adding that he would update absent members.
The committee also considered electing a vice chair after a city council change produced a vacancy for the council-appointed position. A motion to postpone election of chair and vice chair until the committee’s March meeting passed by voice vote; the committee will take nominations at its next regular meeting.
