Tony Hines, fleet manager, asked the board for permission to solicit bids on the two Tahoes delivered to the county this fiscal year. "We're looking for permission to go out for bid for the 2 new Tahoes that we got for this fiscal year," Hines said. A supervisor moved to approve the solicitation; the motion was seconded by Supervisor Ron Campbell and carried on a voice vote.
Supervisors clarified that two Tahoes requested for upfitting are distinct from two vehicles that had been procured in the prior fiscal year and recently finished. Hines said the new vehicles arrived last week and staff will proceed with the upfit procurement process. The board provided no additional conditions on the solicitation.
