Council approves appropriations, fire-truck bond note and farm-market ordinance in unanimous votes

The ordinance authorizes issuance and sale of notes not to exceed $355,000 to pay the cost of acquiring and equipping a fire truck and related appurtenances. After the reading by title, council voted by roll call; all seven members voted "yes."

Ordinance amending city farm-market code (ordinance dash 12) Councilman Stockman moved to suspend rules and to read and pass ordinance dash 12 (an amendment to section 7.27.03 of the codified ordinances regarding city farm markets); the motion was seconded (Miss Baer indicated "Yes" on the suspension vote). The clerk read the title and the ordinance passed on roll call with all seven members voting "yes." The amendment was described in the title as modifying and amending section 7.27.03 of chapter 7.27 regarding city farm markets; council referenced assigning the specific farm-market location authority to the administration or the service and safety director during committee discussion earlier in the meeting.
