The segment noted a guest appearance by Jeffrey Pasch, chief general counsel of the National Football League, who conducted a question-and-answer session with about 100 Chalmette High students. Felts said Pasch discussed his career and encouraged students to pursue opportunities.
Felts also reported that Saints defensive end Cam Jordan visited schools in the parish, distributed $10,000 checks to participating schools and was named Saints Man of the Year by owner Gail Benson. Parish President Louie Pomes presented school board members with a proclamation recognizing school board member recognition month; Pomes told the board, "I wanna thank y'all for all y'all do for the people of Saint Bernard Parish. Y'all doing a really good job." The transcript records Felts praising both the board and community partners for support.
Other highlights included placements in student competitions (LaCoste Elementary placed third in a statewide quiz-bowl competition; an individual student, Luke Gagnoy, won first place in social studies), theatre and band performances, the Rotary Club spelling bee fundraiser and a Valero donation supporting career and technical education. The district announced the Special Olympics event scheduled for Friday, March 21, 2025 at 9 a.m.
The communications package also introduced new personnel noted in the segment: Natalie Albers as supervisor of personnel and Maggie Roussel as principal of Arlene Miro Elementary School. Felts closed by thanking maintenance, support staff and school families for their work during recent weather-related schedule changes.
