Lincoln County near completion of EECBG voucher projects; reimbursement filing expected

County building-and-grounds staff and planning administrator Judy Clark reported Feb. 18 that Lincoln County has completed projects under an EECBG voucher award and is preparing to submit the reimbursement request to the Department of Energy.
Booker Boyer, buildings and grounds, listed completed projects including spray-foam insulation at a road shop, lighting and insulation upgrades and mini-split HVAC installations in the Emergency Management building and other county facilities. Clerk/administrator Tammy White and Boyer said the county used the full preapproved voucher and expects to submit reimbursement for $76,200; recorded costs total about $81,047, which the county will document in the reimbursement packet.
Judy Clark, county planning administrator, advised commissioners that the federal program has strict documentation requirements and that initial submissions are often rejected for missing details; she said county staff and the city office have experience resubmitting required corrections. "Don't be surprised if you get a rejection because they are very, very picky with every little detail that they need before they say, yes. Here's your money," Clark said.
Commissioners asked whether the expenses had been paid; staff confirmed payment and said they will submit the full reimbursement request, expect a possible federal pause, and will resubmit if required. Clark and staff said they would notify the board when they receive reimbursement or a federal response.
