The Richmond City Council approved a series of routine permits, bid awards and appointments at its Feb. 17 regular meeting. The council took the following formal actions (summarized):
- Approved a special-event permit for the Richmond Area Historical Society (RAGS) to hold the Heritage Festival/Log Cabin Day on Saturday, June 28, and Sunday, June 29, including temporary street closures on Park Street and possible closures on Beebe Street, and permission for temporary signs.

- Approved the Richmond Lions Club’s request to conduct the annual white-cane sale at specified intersections on April 25–26, 2025, with specified time and waiver conditions.
- Accepted the resignation of Councilor Rob Rydell, submitted Feb. 11, 2025; the council accepted the resignation with regrets.
- Appointed Nick Yelenic to fill the vacant council seat formerly held by Rob Rydell; the appointee will serve until the next regular city election pursuant to the city charter.
