IVCC board candidate asks for community input; resident asks for LPAC member list

He said he works as an economic development director for Campbell County and cited workforce development as a principal interest, saying IVCC has been "an economic powerhouse" for the region.
Volker said he will host an informal listening session on the 25th at the LaSalle Library to gather public feedback on IVCC, calling for comments on "the good, the bad, the ugly" and inviting residents to share their experiences and suggestions.
In a separate public comment, John Hicks asked the council who serves on the LPAC (Local Planning Advisory Committee or similar entity referenced as "LPAC" in the record). "I was curious. Who are the LPAC members? Haven't been able to find the list of who they are," Hicks said, adding that he believed the public should know the membership because the committee receives public funds. "If we're giving them a lot of money, we should probably know who they are," he said.
The transcript does not show a council response that produced the LPAC membership list at the meeting. Hicks said he had found a list dated February 2013 as the most recent public listing he could locate.
