Massey said membership doubled compared with the prior year and that coffee‑and‑commerce and happy‑hour events routinely draw dozens of attendees. He highlighted ribbon cuttings and member milestones, including a 65th anniversary for Richardson’s Furniture and a recent ownership transition at Wigglesfoot’s Dog Bakery Boutique. Massey described a new membership tier structure that added a nonprofit and sole‑proprietor level and announced a banner program to place member banners along a railing near the chamber building; he said limited spaces remain available.
Massey also promoted the chamber’s annual awards banquet and encouraged council members to use membership ticket allocations; staff later noted the city currently holds four tickets for the event.
Councilors thanked the chamber for its work and raised communication and staffing questions; the chamber said it is considering how best to replace a lost staff position and will rely on volunteers and partners for outreach and marketing work.
