Board members discussed prior conversations about landfill closings and the need to coordinate across counties. Commissioner Campbell and other commissioners said prior planning had considered what closure of nearby demonstration landfills would mean for Clay County.
A motion to approve the letter of support passed by voice vote. The board recorded the motion, a second and a unanimous "aye" on the record; commissioners did not request a roll-call tally.
