City planner: CLG biannual report due May 2; commission needs resumes and events list

David Heinold, La Porte city planner, told the Historic Preservation Commission on Feb. 19 that the Certified Local Government (CLG) biannual report deadline had been extended to May 2 and that the commission is roughly 70% complete on its submission.
Heinold said the report asked for 2024 activities only, so the commission could not include the national-register nomination that was completed in 2023. Commissioners were asked to provide resumes for members who joined in 2024 and to compile an events list and accomplishments. Krista Hurley King and others agreed to gather outstanding materials.
Commission members noted that the reporting period and the roster requirement relate only to the specified year (2024). Several members confirmed they had already submitted required materials; others committed to follow up before the May 2 deadline.
