Destin mayor outlines $12M NRDA-funded boat ramp, $1.7M park facelift and five-year road-repaving commitment

Mayor Bobby Wagner delivered the City of Destin’s State of the City address for 2025, laying out a slate of park, harbor and transportation projects and reminding residents that the council has approved a five-year repaving commitment. Wagner said the address focused “on your priorities, our progress and the vision that we as council is casting” for Destin.

At the center of the presentation, Wagner highlighted three large investments: a $1,700,000 facelift for Clement Taylor Park funded in part with RESTORE Act/BP-related dollars, a $12,000,000 NRDA (BP oil spill) allocation for a boat-ramp and waterfront park work, and a repaving program Wagner described as “$3,600,000 per year for the next 5 years,” a commitment she said “has already passed through ordinance by the council behind me.”
