Representative Martin moved to introduce the four RSs at once; Representatives Clow, Church and Nelson explicitly objected to what they called "mass approvals." After discussion and a roll-call request, the committee recorded an 8-5 vote to introduce and print the four RSs.
Committee members expressed differing views about whether omnibus introduction of multiple RSs reduced transparency. Representative Sauter said he would not object to their introduction but would not commit to advancing any of the resulting bills without hearings. The secretary recorded votes during the roll call and the chair announced the motion carried 8 to 5.
The four RSs were ordered printed; additional hearings or further action would be required before any RS becomes law.
