House Taxation Committee takes executive action: SB3 passes, SB93 and SB99 fail or are tabled

Senate Bill 3: The committee next considered Senate Bill 3. Representative Brewster spoke in favor of the measure and asked to see how it works in practice. The committee took a voice vote on the motion to recommend “do pass.” The clerk later reported 21 ayes, 0 noes; the committee approved Senate Bill 3 by a 21–0 vote and designated Representative Brewster to carry the bill.
Committee leadership announced the committee would reconvene the next morning at 9 a.m. for further hearings and executive action on other measures.
