Jeffersontown City Council approves warrants, park engineering contract and Longview Road closure; hears amphitheater update

The Jeffersontown City Council approved a series of routine warrants and resolutions and passed the second reading of an ordinance closing a portion of the unimproved right-of-way of Longview Road at a meeting of the council.

Council members approved general fund warrant number 1623 and road fund warrant number 1009 by voice vote. The council also adopted resolution number 811 (Series 2025) approving a bursary-related item, and approved a resolution authorizing the mayor to enter an agreement for on-call construction engineering support at Veterans Park. The council gave first reading to resolution 812 (Series 2025), which would permit the mayor to reallocate a mayoral project budget line item to the Clerk Association to help defray costs for the 2025 spring conference at the Louisville Marriott East Hotel in Jeffersontown, and considered a resolution authorizing a contract with Pyro Shows Inc. for the city’s fireworks display.
