Park County commissioners voted to approve updated bylaws for the Park County Planning and Zoning Commission and accepted a modified final plat for Quiet Grove MS-76.
County staff told the board the revised bylaws were drafted by the Planning and Zoning Commission and reviewed by county attorneys. The board agreed the bylaws would take effect on the same date as any approved first-round amendments to the county's Development Standards and Regulations (DSR). The board's approval included a contingency that language about the variance application and procedure would be removed if the DSR round-1 amendments did not adopt the change that would place variance hearings with the Planning and Zoning Commission.
Planning staff also presented a revised final plat for Quiet Grove (MS-76). The modification adds a 30-foot irrigation easement on a remainder parcel that serves the subdivision. Staff recommended approval conditioned on recording a separate binding easement for the irrigation infrastructure; commissioners approved the modified final plat with that condition.
During the meeting staff also reviewed the DSR outreach schedule: a work session to review chapters 1 and 2 is scheduled for Feb. 25, and a series of open houses was listed for late Feb. through early March in multiple communities. Commissioners said the schedule met their expectations and the bylaws and DSR timing would be aligned when the county takes final action.
Ending Both the bylaws and the Quiet Grove plat changes were approved by majority vote. The county will implement the bylaws concurrent with any DSR first-amendment approval and staff will record the Quiet Grove easement as a condition of final plat acceptance.
