Council approves three-year collective bargaining agreement with police officers

The South Burlington City Council unanimously approved a three-year collective bargaining agreement with the South Burlington Police Officers Association on Feb. 18.
Following a brief executive-session negotiation, councilors moved to adopt the agreement and authorized the city manager to sign the contract that incorporates the negotiated amendments. Council members thanked negotiators and the police chief for their work and said the contract supports competitiveness and retention as the city seeks to maintain or expand staffing.
