Principal Daisy Moreno and district staff clarified the financial arrangements: she reported that field-trip funds in the school’s budget were earmarked to cover the trip and that students would not incur any out-of-pocket costs. The committee members praised the students’ presentations and asked for paperwork corrections (staff later confirmed that district funds, not student fees, will be used for registration and that students will not be charged). No board action was required at the meeting; staff said they will ensure the budget and paperwork reflect the school’s planned funding for the trip.
