Recreation staff outline CivicPlus registration switch; accounts will require re‑creation

Recreation staff told the commission on Feb. 6 that the township will switch to CivicPlus for online registration, reservations and program management and that the department expects to launch the system in mid‑March.
“CivicPlus… makes registration a lot easier,” staff member Ash said. He said trainers completed roughly 12 to 15 hours of configuration and that there is “one more meeting to get through to really finalize everything.”
Staff warned that when the new platform launches existing online accounts will not carry over; users will be asked to make new accounts on the CivicPlus site. The department said it will preserve account credits where possible and notify customers ahead of the change.
Ash said CivicPlus will allow online reservations for Centennial Farm and other facilities, show calendar availability up to a year in advance, and reduce duplicate accounts by consolidating family members in a single profile. Commissioners asked about payment security; staff said they will confirm security and payment‑processing details with CivicPlus prior to rollout.
Staff asked residents to create new accounts when the system goes live and said the department will publicize instructions and help customers through the transition.
