Anchorage legislative committee reviews prefiled bills, readies Juneau trip

Chair Karen Bridal called the Anchorage Assembly Legislative Committee to order Wednesday and said the panel will meet monthly during the legislative session to track developments in Juneau and Washington relevant to the municipality.

The committee opened its meeting by reviewing a table of prefiled bills the Assembly identified as possibly affecting Anchorage. Nolan Clowda, with the mayor's office, said the administration will travel to Juneau next week and detailed the delegation: "The trip to Juneau next week will be from the administration side. It's going to be the mayor, municipal manager, chief administrative officer, chief of staff, and Graham Downey, the special assistant on housing and transportation," Clowda said.
