The Sumner City Council unanimously adopted Ordinance 2919, which updates Sumner Municipal Code section 12.30.040 (truck routes) to reflect recent street name changes and to add a new truck-route segment.
Assistant Engineering Manager Courtney Littrell briefed the council, saying some street-name updates had made code language inaccurate and the amendment corrects those references and adds a new route segment. "This code update is to update those street names and then also add a new truck route segment," Littrell said.
There was no public comment and no council members raised objections during the meeting. Council member Elfers moved adoption; Council member Clurgett seconded. The roll call vote was unanimous and the ordinance passed.
The ordinance updates the municipal code text to match current street names and clarifies the official truck-route map in the municipal code chapter titled "Truck Routes." Littrell offered to answer questions but none were raised at this meeting.
