The Cleveland City Council accepted a $35,010 bid for a city-owned parcel at 204 William Barnett.
Greg East, representing the city’s title/real-estate processor, reported three bids were received; the high bid of $35,010 was the largest and allowed the sale to proceed without county and school consent. East told the council the county appraisal district valued the property at $48,000 for the 2024 tax year and that the city will apply part of the sale proceeds to outstanding judgments and taxes before conveying the deed.
Councilmember Buckley moved to accept the $35,010 bid; Councilmember Mag Waters seconded the motion. The council approved the sale 5-0. East said the buyer must deliver payment (cashier’s check) before the deed is processed and the mayor signs the conveyance.
