The board also directed staff to identify local partners, funding sources and a host committee to support outreach and event logistics; board members suggested possible partners including CPAR and the Bay Builders Association.
Staff described IncDev’s offerings: a short introductory lecture (about 1.5 hours), a full-day small-scale development workshop, and a multiweek boot camp. IncDev’s timeline, if contracted, would begin about 60 days after contract execution with outreach and recruitment in months 1–2, the workshop in months 3–4 and boot camp enrollment in months 5–7 if chosen. IncDev provided estimated cost ranges for offerings: roughly $4,000 for an introductory lecture and higher amounts for extended training; staff recommended starting with the lecture and the workshop and adding the boot camp if participation warrants.
Board members discussed delivery format and agreed the workshop should be held in person rather than virtual; board member Granger moved to amend the motion to the in-person option and the amendment was accepted. The final motion passed on a roll-call vote with Board member Halligas, Board member Lucas, Board member Granger and Board member Street voting yes.
Staff will proceed to identify partners, venues and marketing steps; the transcript shows staff noted that IncDev can begin about 60 days after contract execution.
