Pataskala's committee reported that the Chamber's Hometown Festival will relocate from the golf course to Foundation Park and is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 19.
Committee members said a park volunteer, Lanier, is applying for an Operation Roundup grant through the local Energy Cooperative to extend electric service to the Conway Trail shelter at Foundation Park. The committee reported the grant request will be for the program's $10,000 maximum; the city's share to extend electrical service was estimated to be less than $1,000. Committee members said cameras for lighting and security would be purchased at a later date if the service installation is funded.
The committee also reported a three-year lease renewal for Hoover Financial and Insurance Services at the current rate; staff recommended renewing the lease. The report noted other leases will come up for renewal in 2025 and will use the new 2024 rate schedule.
The committee's items were informational and preparatory; the grant application and any lease renewal will return to staff and council for formal processing as required.
