Wayne County to award feasibility study for courthouse and old jail to Intrepid Architects

The Facilities Committee interviewed three shortlisted firms — Oakley and Collier, Dunn and Dalton, and Intrepid — and recommended Intrepid to perform the feasibility work. The matter was placed on the consent agenda for approval.
Staff said the study will explore renovating the old jail for office uses and will identify required maintenance, safety and Americans with Disabilities Act upgrades. Commissioners noted Intrepid’s prior involvement in local county office building planning when explaining the recommendation. The transcript does not include a dollar amount for the study.
