County staff removed Henry Pied signage; officials say work was done in-house and no new sign installed

During the Feb. 25 meeting, a committee member asked whether county staff removed the signage that had read “Henry Pied.” County staff responded that the county’s facilities and grounds crews removed the sign on Saturday and did not install any new signage.
A facilities staff member said the removal was performed by two staffers and took about an hour, and grounds staff performed pressure washing that took roughly 30–45 minutes. “It was our own staff, no outside,” the staff member said. The staff member also said the county did not add other wording above the sign because the judicial facility remains beneath the sign.
When asked about estimated cost, staff said the work would be under $500 and that any repainting would be done internally in the spring. The committee had no further action on the item and did not vote; the matter was recorded as new business and discussed for clarification only.
