Board receives departmental budgets across functions; multiple items approved unanimously

Woodbury County supervisors reviewed and received a broad set of departmental budgets and related items during the budget session. Multiple "receive" motions passed unanimously, covering EMS, juvenile detention (with a $10,835 amendment to include a director salary change), building services accounts, courthouse and ancillary facility budgets, Tri View, the new LEC account, CF tax rebate accounting, board administration and other routine items.
The board treated these administrative budget receipts as the formal step to include figures in the county's maximum-ask levy and to proceed toward publication. Where supervisors or staff noted corrections (for example, payroll coding errors in juvenile detention and employee-account moves in building services), staff said corrected figures were available on meeting screens and would be reflected in the finalized budget documents. Supervisors repeatedly directed departments to return for authorization if large unplanned repair costs or out-of-function spending is needed later in the fiscal year.
