The board approved the summer school funding and plan by unanimous vote (6 yes, 0 no). Staff said tutoring is already occurring twice weekly and that the goal is to minimize retention by providing remediation.
The board recorded direction for staff to run the posted summer programs and for staff to report back on attendance and remediation outcomes after the summer session.
