Childers introduced themself as a "peer coach supporting the Humboldt County Transition Age Youth Collaboration" and described lived experience working with multiple local systems; the board voted to forward Childers’s nomination to the Board of Supervisors.
No roll-call vote tallies for the minutes approval or the candidate recommendations were recorded in the meeting transcript; board members present said "aye" and the chair declared the motions carried. Staff noted the nominations will be sent to the Board of Supervisors for final confirmation.
The board also noted that with these recommendations the board will meet state composition requirements for a behavioral health board once the Board of Supervisors confirms the appointments.
