Commission approves special-event and retail license requests for local venues

The Pennington County Board of Commissioners on Feb. 18 approved multiple liquor-license items presented by County Auditor Cindy Moller.
Moller described three actions: a special on-sale and off-sale malt beverage and special on-sale wine request for the Rushmore Hockey Association fundraiser on March 11 (4 p.m.–midnight); approval of a new retail on-/off-sale malt beverage and South Dakota farm wine license for HTR Black Hills; and approval of a transfer of retail on-/off-sale malt beverage, farm wine and a retail on-sale liquor license with Sunday sales for Horse Creek Resort. Commissioners moved and seconded each item and approved them without recorded opposition.
Why it matters: The approvals allow event organizers and businesses to host alcohol sales under county permissions and complete routine licensure transactions for local retailers and venues.
