“There’s 1 item on the agenda. Consider appointments to the board of appeals committee,” Trustee (presiding) said when opening the item, noting the number of applicants. Trustee (mover) moved “to recommend all appointments as slated to the full village board for approval consideration.” Trustee (presiding) seconded.
Trustee (mover) thanked the applicants for stepping forward, saying, “No, I’m just so grateful to these residents for stepping up. And, I am also grateful to the other 2 for stepping up.” Trustee (presiding) echoed that appreciation during brief discussion.
The committee recorded a 2-0 vote in favor; no individual dissenting votes were named in the transcript. Trustee Lynn was recorded as absent. Trustee Arndorffer was referenced during remarks but did not cast a vote on the motion in the committee meeting.
The committee chair said the committee will keep the two late applications on file for future openings. The recommendation now moves to the full Shorewood village board for consideration; the transcript did not specify a date for that board’s vote.
