Committee raises concepts and reserves multiple items for subject matter hearings; sets hearing schedule

During the session the Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee voted to raise concepts 1–24 and to reserve multiple agenda items for subject matter public hearings by voice vote. The Finance, Revenue and Bonding Committee moved several procedural items by voice vote and set its immediate hearing schedule.
Early in the meeting the committee voted by voice to "raise concepts 1 through 24." The panel also voted by voice to reserve agenda items 1, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10 and 11 for subject matter public hearings. Representative Larry Butler was recorded supplying a second for one of the motions; Senator Fonfaro and Representative Shannon also offered motions and seconds for reservation votes during the session.
The chair said votes would be held open until 5:00 p.m. The committee announced it will begin its first phase of public hearings on Feb. 26 at 11:00 a.m.
Those procedural steps move a package of concepts and specific bills into a public hearing phase, where written and in-person testimony and fiscal notes will be collected before the committee considers final action.
