The Marshfield Finance, Budget and Personnel Committee voted to recommend that the common council approve Resolution 2025-09 to write off certain EMS accounts deemed uncollectible.
Accounting manager Jordan Munger told the committee the write-off is an annual, routine action covering ambulance bills more than six years old that are no longer collectible. “This is pretty typical and standard of us. We have a yearly, recap of how much we had in outstanding, ambulance bills that were uncollectible,” Munger said.
Munger said the write-offs are handled per statute and asked for committee approval to forward the resolution to the council. A motion and second were recorded; after no discussion the committee approved the recommendation by voice vote.
The resolution will be forwarded to the common council for final action. The transcript did not record a roll-call vote.
