Bay County commissioners approve series of resolutions, contracts and appointments

Bay County commissioners on Feb. 18, 2025, approved a package of resolutions and administrative actions covering public-safety equipment, grant acceptance, contracts and personnel actions during a regularly scheduled meeting at the Bay County Courthouse in Bay City.

The approvals included grant acceptances, contract awards and routine personnel and financial items the board took as individual motions and carried by voice vote. Commissioners recorded no roll-call tallies in the public record; each motion was presented, seconded and approved with commissioners responding “Aye” and “Seeing none, motion carries.”

Among the motions approved were: Resolution recognizing the life and service of Mark Allen Smith (honorary resolution); resolution commending Delta College’s 2024 NJCAA Division III women’s soccer champions; a quarter‑4 report and spending update from Hay Bay City; the Region 7 Area Agency on Aging presentation and an accompanying Board of Directors appointment letter; notification of the City of Bay City’s appointment of Craig Coakley to the Bay County Land Bank Authority; adoption of the 2024 Master Adoption Plan; and a series of departmental, public-safety and administrative resolutions described below.
