She said the recognition effort is intended to build a culture of appreciation countywide and that staff and commissioners can nominate employees.
The personnel committee reported approving a personnel action to authorize backfill of a 31‑year‑service position and to update a specified job description (recorder‑technology/compliance functions were discussed in budget context). Commissioners then moved the committee’s action items and approved them by roll call. The board’s roll call recorded unanimous approval for the personnel items.
Separately, Cuivosto reviewed a recruitment dashboard that tracks open positions, new hires and separations and told commissioners that the county has reduced historical paperwork around those reports and that the dashboard is more concise and useful for oversight.
