The applicant told the commission the project keeps work within the existing footprint; revisions are limited to a dormer and retaining-wall repairs that must be hand-excavated because of access constraints. The town's Board of Health approved the Title 5 septic system after several local waivers.
Commissioners heard from Margaret Bacon, a civil site engineer representing the applicant, who said the retaining-wall work will be hand done and that there is sufficient working room between the retaining wall and the typical water elevation. The commission asked the Board of Health approval status; Bacon confirmed the septic design had been approved.
After discussion, Commissioner Joe moved to close the public hearing; the motion carried. The commission then voted to approve the notice of intent and to issue an order of conditions for 159 Lakeshore Drive; the vote was unanimous.
