The Town of Blackstone Finance Committee on Jan. 9 approved meeting minutes from May 28, June 20, July 11 and Sept. 5 and authorized two payments totaling $240 to Sarah Peters for preparing those minutes.
Committee members moved and seconded approval of the minutes, and the roll-call voice votes recorded unanimous approval. The committee then approved a bill for $180 covering the minutes for May 28, June 20 and July 11, and a separate $60 bill for the Sept. 5 meeting. Both motions were approved by unanimous voice vote.
During closing business, the presiding member announced a budget hearing to be conducted by Slekman on the coming Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon in the same meeting room, and reminded members that the committee will next meet at the special Town Meeting on Jan. 21.
Committee members passed the motions to approve the minutes and payment authorizations and circulated the approved bills for signature before adjournment.
