Livonia council approves 2025 road, sidewalk and maintenance contracts and several related amendments

The Livonia City Council approved a package of 2025 infrastructure contracts and related amendments at its Feb. 10 study session, voting on consent to move forward with asphalt, concrete and sidewalk programs, equipment maintenance authorizations and associated construction‑engineering agreements.

The approvals included a $4,275,775.10 extension for the 2025 asphalt road program with Nagel Paving Company, a $4,538,170.86 extension for the 2025 concrete road program with Hard Rock Concrete, and a proposal to proceed with a sidewalk repair program covering approximately 554 locations. Council also approved engineering and construction‑engineering amendments tied to those programs: OHM Advisors for the asphalt program ($513,093) and AEW for the concrete work (about $105,733). Officials said many items were placed on consent and that staff expects to manage construction this spring and summer.
