"SB 10 is simply creating a new judge position in the Alapaha judicial circuit," Senator Goodman said, adding that the state's Judicial Council ranked the circuit the No. 1 need in the state and that the circuit has not added a judge since 1979. He also said SB 10 "passed out of the senate judiciary committee unanimously."
Committee members did not take a separate calendar vote on SB 10 during the recorded Rules meeting. Later in the session members moved other bills to the Rules calendar; the transcript does not show SB 10 being included in that motion.
