Franklin County approves annual ZOLL warranty and maintenance contract for EMS equipment

The Franklin County Commission on Feb. 5 approved the county’s annual ZOLL extended-warranty and preventive-maintenance contract for 2025, covering two ZOLL transport ventilators and seven monitor/defibrillators.
Christie, a county staff member, told commissioners the program includes scheduled service, calibration and qualification of the devices and an overnight replacement policy so the county is not left without monitors if one fails. "They overnight us another monitor for us to use, so we're not down monitors, and then there's no charge to get them fixed," Christie said.
Commissioners moved and voted to approve the contract during the meeting. Commissioners Meador, Dickinson, Stoudemire, Sottlemyer and Chair Harris recorded affirmative votes during the voice tally. No opposing votes or abstentions were recorded on the transcript.
The contract was introduced during the portion of the agenda identified as “item of business” and followed a procedural motion and second before the roll-call-style affirmations recorded on the audio transcript.
County staff did not provide a dollar amount for the contract in the recorded remarks and no vendor price was specified in the meeting transcript.
