Commission approves consent agenda, payroll and annual software maintenance renewals

Franklin County commissioners approved the consent agenda and the county’s annual software maintenance renewal invoices during the Jan. 8 meeting.
The consent agenda included meeting minutes from Dec. 18, claim vouchers totaling $328,479.98, a tax change order showing negative $12, and payroll in the amount of $1,425,146.52. The board approved the consent items by voice vote; the record shows the motion carried unanimously.
County staff also asked the board to approve annual software maintenance renewals for products the county subscribes to. Staff said one product’s subscription had been reduced to a first-quarter service because the county plans to retire that product in March as part of a software project; the remainder of the renewals reflected routine, budgeted increases (Tyler Technologies public safety line increased 5% this year after 6% last year). The board voted to approve payment of the renewal invoices; the vote was unanimous.
Both actions were presented as routine, budgeted items; staff noted the expenditures were within previously approved budgets.
