The Sedgwick County Board of County Commissioners on Feb. 12 approved three advisory-board appointments in unanimous roll-call votes.
The commission reappointed Erica Lovett to the Sedgwick County Animal Care Advisory Board and appointed Josh Frederick to the same board on a motion combining two resolutions. Justin Wagner, County Counselor, proposed combining the two related items; the commission approved the combined action by roll call with all members voting aye.
The board also adopted a separate resolution appointing Jay Hedrick to the Sedgwick County Juvenile Corrections Advisory Board. Commissioners praised Hedrick’s experience in social work and advocacy for children before the motion to adopt the resolution; the motion passed by unanimous roll call.
Each new appointee took the oath of office following the votes.
These actions were formal resolutions recorded in the meeting’s minutes and approved without recorded dissent.
