He said the older vehicle had high mileage and it was time to replace it.
A separate motion authorized the district to sell the 1998 truck. The board discussed selling the old vehicle directly rather than trading it in; the rationale given was that selling typically yields more revenue than trading. The district plans to advertise the sale on Facebook and accept bids.
